Tetsuya Naito’s time with NJPW has come to an end, but the veteran star has made it clear that he’s not retiring.
In a recent interview with Tokyo Sports, Naito addressed speculation about his future. He said,
“Some people seem to have misunderstood, but I’m not retiring. Right now, my focus is on taking care of my body and preparing for the next chapter. I plan to continue treatments and get myself ready for what’s next.”
Naito revealed that he is scheduled to undergo surgery on his left eye, followed by stem cell therapy on his right knee. There’s no timeline for his return to the ring, and it remains unknown which promotion he might appear in next.
