During the latest edition of his “Keepin’ It 100” podcast, AAA booker Konnan claimed that Kenny Omega wouldn’t be able to work the AAA TripleMania: Mexico City event because AEW wouldn’t allow him to do so because of his suspension.
According to a report from Dave Meltzer, Omega was never booked for the show. While AAA officials wanted to have him appear, they were told he’s suspended and wouldn’t have been able to work the show. It is unknown if Omega would have been able to appear if he was booked beforehand.
AAA reportedly wanted to book Omega vs. El Hijo del Vikingo on the show.
