Notes From Yesterday’s Impact TV Tapings, Including A New Producer

We have some backstage news and notes from yesterday’s Impact Wrestling television tapings, including a new talent who is also working backstage as a producer.

Former ROH wrestler Delirious worked the TV tapings in Nashville, TN last night. Fans of Ring of Honor will remember Delirious (real name Hunter Johnson) for his antics in and around the ring. He lost to Black Taurus at the tapings in a match that will air on AXS TV.

Delirious was also working backstage as a producer at the show. There is no word on if he has been offered a contract with the promotion. It is worth noting that Delirious also worked the Victory Road pay-per-view event on Friday in a losing effort to “Speedball” Mike Bailey in a tilt for the X-Division title.

Several familiar names were backstage for the tapings. In addition to Delirious, other producers present were Gail Kim, Lance Storm, Tommy Dreamer, Jimmy Jacobs, RD Evans, and Deaner.

A contract signing between Masha Slamovich and Jordynne Grace will main event the October 6th episode of IMPACT! on AXS TV. This will be the go-home edition of Impact before Bound for Glory. It is also expected that one or two more matches will be added to the Bound for Glory card in the weeks to come.
