Courtesy of Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline, we have more details on the attendance for last night’s AEW Full Gear event. As previously reported, Tony Khan announced on Saturday morning that the live gate for the event officially crossed $1 million. It’s the fourth straight AEW pay-per-view event to do so this year.

According to Meltzer’s report, the event had a final gate of $1,040,000. Also, while the event was announced as a sellout during the broadcast, it was actually just short of a full house by about 600 seats.

During the post-show media scrum, Tony Khan said the early projections for Saturday night’s show looked similar to AEW’s All Out show in September, which was headlined by CM Punk vs. Jon Moxley. All Out 2022 did about 140,000 pay-per-view buys. For comparisons, last year’s AEW Full Gear event drew about 155,000 pay-per-view buys. As of this writing, there is no official word on exactly how many pay-per-view buys were done for Full Gear 2022.

This year’s edition of Full Gear was reportedly not expected to do better numbers than last year’s show. Due to the Thanksgiving holiday this week, exact numbers for the show might be delayed in their reporting.
