According to a report in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE still has a lot of interest in Rey Mysterio‘s son, Dominick, getting inside of the squared circle for them. Dominick was heavily featured going into both WrestleMania and Money In The Bank, but injuries to his father seemed to have derailed these plans.
Reportedly, the hope internally is that Dominick will be ready to go in the ring by 2020.
In other news regarding WWE and Lucha Libre, there is a brief note in this week’s Observer about WWE opening up communication with CMLL now that Sofia Alonso has taken over following the passing of Paco Alonso.
It is also being said that WWE has begun talking about bringing in competitors that they had no interest in in the past, if only for the sake of not allowing the competition to get to them first.
