The main event is set for NWA Back For the Attack, and it will see the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship on the line. The NWA released a new video on Sunday morning featuring Billy Corgan announcing that Nick Aldis will defend his championship against Aron Stevens (fka Damien Sandow). You can see the video below.

Aldis has held the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship over 875 days since beating Cody Rhodes in October 2018. His overall over two reigns is 1,141 days and counting, making him the sixth longest reigning on the all time list behind Dan Severn, Dory Funk Jr, Harley Race, Ric Flair and Lou Thesz.

There will also be a tribute to Joseph Hudson, otherwise known as “The Question Mark” and “Jocephus”, who recently passed away from an unconfirmed stroke or aneurysm. Shortly after the news of his passing, Billy Corgan stated:

“It’s with a heavy heart that I share that my friend and brother in wrestling, Joseph Hudson, has passed away suddenly from an as-yet undiagnosed medical issue. NWA fans would know him as Jocephus as well as The Question Mark; where thanks to the great fans at GPB Studios in Atlanta, Joseph was able to receive the kind of support in the ring he’d always dreamt of. He is survived by a young son whom he loved dearly, and if anything would pain him about leaving this Earth it would be not being able to be there for his boy. RIP Joseph, love to you and Godspeed.”

NWA Back For The Attack takes place on March 21st and will air live on FITE TV. The updated card is below:

  • NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship Match: Nick Aldis vs. Aron Stevens
  • Crimson vs. Jax Dane vs. Jordan Clearwater vs. Slice Boogie
