NXT Hype and Rundown for Wednesday’s Episode

This Wednesday will have a solid show as the Black and Yellow brand continues to be the best wrestling show World Wrestling Entertainment has to offer. Stories will progress, characters developed, unsigned talent tried out and the return of an injured talent, what else awaits this week’s episode of NXT? Let’s take a “non-spoiler” journey to hype this week’s broadcast.

Tom Phillips and Corey Graves will no doubt welcome a rowdy crowd at Full Sail University for the following match-ups:

“American Alpha” Chad Gable and Jason Jordan will bring their high-intensity amateur background back into Full Sail this Wednesday on the WWE Network. They will be combating in the Full Sail Arena, the team of Wesley Blake and Buddy Murphy, a team that’s in dire need of a big win. Will the Kreuger-themed team and once great tag team champions in NXT start climbing back up the ladder? Or will the uber-Charismatic team of Chad “Ready Willing and” Gable and Jason Jordan keep their role of momentum going?

Nextly, the massive monster heel Nia Jax, who is itching for the in-ring time after missing the Divas Battle Royal, will be looking to squash the bubbly Jersey-girl Liv Morgan. Will Jax continue her impressive streak of dominance, excluding her loss to Bayley? Or will the newcomer Morgan show that she belongs in the ring down in Orlando? Time answers all questions!

How about this, the return of–Alex Riley. Riley is returning to do battle with the big man from New Jersey, Bull Dempsey. Riley is hungry and wants the return “W”, but I’m sure Bull has other plans for the newly uninjured Riley. Will Riley’s return be a happy one? Or will Bull Fit get a much-needed win and a burst of momentum to start regaining some credibility?

Finally, Elias Samson aka The Drifter will look to continue his string of wins by beating the unsigned, yet featured, John Skyler. Samson needs to keep his momentum going, but in retrospect, an unsigned Skyler will be looking to (from a storytelling standpoint) get the contract. Though Samson will most likely pick up the win, this may not be the biggest squash in history. So will Samson squash his smaller foe? Or will Skyler surprise even me with an upset victory?

Also, expect some further developments in the NXT World Title picture with something from Balor, Joe, and Zayn. Plus, how will Corbin be able to focus on his title quest when last week he put a target on his back by assaulting debuting Austin Aries? Find out tomorrow night exclusively on the WWE Network–I feel just like Michael Cole.
