As noted, some WWE talents are stranded in Saudi Arabia from WWE Crown Jewel this week due to travel issues. This means several talents won’t be able to make tonight’s WWE SmackDown Live episode, as those currently stranded in the middle east aren’t scheduled to fly out until 8:00 p.m. ET.
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that NXT talent are being flown in for SmackDown as a result. The report did not name which stars were being flown into Buffalo, but WWE did promise some “additional surprises” for tonight’s show.
