NXT Women’s Championship Match Set For The March 10th Episode Of WWE NXT

As seen during Wednesday’s edition of NXT, it was announced that a NXT Women’s Championship Match has been signed for March 10th featuring champion Io Shirai defending her title against Toni Storm.

On Wednesday’s show, Shirai defeated NXT newcomer Zoey Stark (aka, Lacey Ryan) in a non-title match. Following the bout, the WWE Universe was praising Stark’s performance all over social media. This match had been booked by General Manager William Regal after Stark defeated Valentina Feroz last Wednesday.

After the match, Shirai helped Stark up to her feet and embraced her out of respect. This show of respect was interrupted by Toni Storm, who came out and cut a promo. She said Shirai was afraid of her after she pinned Mercedes Martinez at TakeOver: Vengeance Day because Shirai knew deep down inside she could not beat Storm on her best day.

Shirai interrupted Storm and said she would defend the title against her anytime, anywhere. After a back-and-forth, Regal came out and made the Women’s Championship match official for March 10th.

Next week on NXT, we will see the WWE Women’s Tag-Team Championships on the line, as Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler defend their titles against Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez (see below).
