As seen during this week’s WWE NXT broadcast, General Manager William Regal opened the show with his much anticipated announcement(s), as Regal formally announced the new NXT Women’s Tag-Team Championships.
As a result of what went down during the WWE Women’s Tag-Team Championship match between champions Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler vs. Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez last week, Regal officially made Kai & Gonzalez the inaugural NXT Women’s Tag-Team Champions.

The new champions had little time to celebrate, as they defended their titles against the team of Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon. Blackheart and Moon wound up defeating Kai & Gonzalez to become the new NXT Women’s Tag-Team Champions.
