On Wednesday’s edition of WWE NXT, the announcement was made that NXT World Champion Finn Balor will be defending his title against Pete Dunne at NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day.
Also, “The Rated R Superstar” Edge made a surprise appearance tonight and teased that he may be eyeing either Balor or Dunne for an NXT World Championship match at WrestleMania 37. Edge said that he loved watching the NXT talent shine and how they reignited his passion for the business, specifically Balor and Dunne. He told both men he would be watching the event and will be deciding exactly which world champion he will challenge by then.
NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day will be taking place on February 14th (Valentine’s Day) exclusively on the WWE Network.
