We reported earlier about WWE expecting to make an announcement in regards to the NXT:UK brand in response to the overwhelming sexual misconduct allegations and the #SpeakingOut movement.
According to WON, Triple H took a moment to address these issues as part of a conference call. Hunter explained the overall protocol and there would be zero tolerance towards WWE or NXT Superstars that were apart of these allegations, with irrefutable evidence to back up these claims. This message was perceived by many to be a stern warning as the company moves forward.
NXT Referees Joel Allen and Chris Roberts were released, along with Joe Coffey being suspended. These were a direct result of the above allegations made towards these individuals.
On a lighter note, the conference call did provide some positive information. WWE told the talent they would be going back to work soon once everything cools down and gets back to a level of normality, but nothing concrete or set in stone.
