Original Plans For Gallows and Anderson For Slammiversary

Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson are headed to Impact Wrestling and made the announcement in the latest episode of their podcast. WrestlingINC has more details on what Impact’s plans for the two originally were.

The original plan was for Gallows and Anderson to attack Tessa Blanchard at the end of Slammiversary to gain some heat. However, those plans were quickly scrapped after Tessa was fired from Impact Wrestling and stripped of the Impact World Heavyweight Championship.

The Co-Executive Vice President of Impact Wrestling, Scott D’Amore contacted Gallows and Anderson in April after they had been released from WWE. D’Amore felt Impact needed some bigger, key-name stars on the roster and signed them to two year deals. The deals will also allow them to work for NJPW too, once the travel ban has been lifted.

As part of their deal, Doc Gallows’ promotion Lariato Pro Wrestling Guild will have shows taped and aired on Impact’s streaming service as part of his deal.
