After Karrion Kross lost to Jeff Hardy last week on WWE Raw, the company had plans for a rematch between the two stars on Monday’s show.
However, the rematch was nixed due to Hardy testing positive for COVID-19.
Fightful Select reported today that WWE planned to have Kross lose the rematch.
“We weren’t told of a specific creative direction following this, but that several members of creative, and even more of the roster were baffled by the idea to beat Kross once, let alone a second straight week.”
WWE ended up having Kross beat Keith Lee on the show in a singles match.
