WWE has already confirmed that Ronda Rousey will be defending her Raw Women’s Championship at the upcoming TLC PPV event against Nia Jax, who won the battle royal at WWE Evolution to earn the title shot.
Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that original plans called for Natalya to face Rousey at this event with the idea to have Natalya turn on Rousey at some point to set up a match at TLC. However, WWE decided to cancel the plans of turning Natalya heel after the recent death of Jim Neidhart. The belief was that fans wouldn’t boo her after what happened and WWE officials called to have Jax replace her.
The TLC pay-per-view event takes place on Sunday, December 16th, 2018 in San Jose, California at the SAP Center and will air on the WWE Network.
