Pat McAfee Says He Wasn’t Told In Advance About Huge WWE WrestleMania 38 Spot

Pat McAfee has said his post-match encounter with ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin at WrestleMania 38 (Night Two) was not part of the plans for him.

At WrestleMania (Night Two), McAfee defeated Austin Theory but lost an impromptu match to Mr. McMahon.

After that, “Stone Cold” appeared to stun all three performers.

Speaking on his show, McAfee said he did not know the WWE Hall of Famer was going to appear and wishes he had been given a ‘heads up’. He said,

“I was sitting there just befuddled by everything that was going on… there was a lot of trust that was placed upon me, I think, that [in] hindsight should not have been. Cause I’m in there like, ‘God damn, I should have been given a heads up.’ How many times have I done this? Three times? I’ve done this three times… they were really confident in me figuring some stuff out, I guess.”

McAfee will resume his commentary role on this week’s SmackDown.
