According to sources, Kevin Owens, Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar were all not seen at SmackDown! Live during the afternoon and evening hours. Heyman and Lesnar were brought to the gorilla position just seconds before they walked out to the ring.
Also, Paul Heyman was not present at any production meetings earlier in the day for SmackDown! Live.
Kevin Owens was also not seen during the day and was brought in from an entire different side of the arena from where the main locker-room was.
WWE did the same with Rusev on RAW as he drove from Nashville, TN (his hometown) to the RAW TV tapings in order to prevent his return from leaking. He was kept hidden backstage until it was time for him to come to the ring.
