With a ton of changes occurring in WWE, many are watching how the company will perform in the weeks and months ahead. Comcast, the parent company of NBC Universal, announced its quarter two earnings for WWE’s partnering streaming service, Peacock. The numbers reveal that the streaming home of all things WWE is operating at a loss of $467 million.
The subscription service has long been criticized for streaming issues during WWE events. Although the service has gained 13 million subscribers, there hasn’t been any significant growth. The disappointing Q2 earnings come as WWE is changing up its leadership.
It should be noted that Comcast did not mention WWE during its earnings call. Instead, the media conglomerate hyped its major films and TV sporting events, such as The World Cup.
