As seen during last night’s SummerSlam pay-per-view event, Olympic gold medalists Gable Steveson and Tamyra Mensah-Stock both came into the ring and waved to the live crowd. Both Steveson and Mensah-Stock have expressed interest in joining WWE, with Steveson saying Vince McMahon personally reached out to get him to join WWE.
Steveson took to Twitter today, posting a photo of himself backstage at SummerSlam with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon. He captioned the photo with,
“The Man I Wanted To See.. @WWE.”
For those unaware, Gable’s brother, Bobby Steveson, is currently training at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, FL.
