WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam has claimed that WWE wanted his ring attire to be much less artistic than what fans saw.
Van Dam used colorful, airbrushed attires when he joined WWE in 2001 as part of the invasion storyline.
On Twitter, RVD responded to a fan complimenting his ring attire, saying it was one of the first things WWE wanted to change.
Van Dam also shared an image of a much plainer attire, saying he used it at the occasional live event at the company’s discretion.
