Former WWE NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai is reportedly dealing with a leg injury.
Shirai hasn’t competed since NXT Stand and Deliver earlier this month, where she unsuccessfully challenged for the NXT Women’s Title.
In a series of photos shared online, Shirai is seen with a walking boot and using crutches while hanging out with Shinsuke Nakamura.
It’s believed that the injury happened when Shirai hit a moonsault off the top rope to the floor to take out Kay Lee Ray, but her leg hit the announce table on the way down.
Shirai worked two dark matches at SmackDown events in late January and early February but has yet to be called up to the main roster.
