Several wrestlers and hundreds of fans attended a memorial for former WWE Superstar Shad Gaspard on Friday night in California.
According to reports, more than 500 fans and wrestlers showed up to attend the memorial on Venice Beach. JTG, Kofi Kingston, John Morrison, Taya Valkyrie, Dolph Ziggler, Ryan Nemeth, Shelton Benjamin, PJ Black, Eli Drake, Joey Ryan, and Chris Masters were all spotted at the memorial.
As we previously reported here on eWn, Shad Gaspard’s body was found on Wednesday by several people who were walking on the beach around 1:30AM. Gaspard was caught in a rip current and directed lifeguards to save his 10-year son before they tried to rescue him. According to reports, his last words were “save my son!” before a wave took him under the water and he never resurfaced. One person said that while he was struggling himself, Shad screamed for the lifeguard to “take him,” waving, and pointing to his son.
