Roman Reigns could be back in the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship picture soon should he lose the title to Drew McIntyre at WWE Clash at the Castle.
Reigns has been champion since August 2020, but it was recently reported that WWE is considering having the Tribal Chief lose in Cardiff.
As per Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the current plan is for Reigns to face his cousin The Rock at WrestleMania 39, but could regain the title if he loses tomorrow.
“They’ve kept the title on him for so long most figured it was because they didn’t want to beat him prior to the match.
“The reality is that McIntyre could win, and lose it back before Mania and they could still do Reigns vs. Rock, and/or the Money in the Bank winner.”
Reports that McIntyre could win at Clash at the Castle stated that this is the first time in a long time WWE has discussed having the title change hands.
