Former WWE Divas Champion Paige started training at the WWE Performance Center in September in order to get cleared by doctors after undergoing neck surgery last year.
At the time it was reported that WWE officials had a storyline for Paige’s return and that it will be for the SmackDown brand. However, that has changed as PWinsider.com is reporting that Paige is slated to return to WWE television on this week’s episode of Raw. If you recall, she had been originally drafted to Raw during the 2016 brand split but never actually appeared post-Draft.
The belief within the sports entertainment company is that Paige will somehow end up on the women’s Team Raw at Survivor Series. Keep in mind that Bayley vs. Mickie James vs. Dana Brooke has been announced to fill the position of the fifth competitor of Team Raw this Monday. It’s possible that WWE adds Paige to the match or WWE runs some other sort of angle to have Paige replace one of the members of the team.
