As seen this past weekend and early this week, WWE held four shows in a row at the Toyota Center in Houston, TX as the company held NXT Takeover: War Games, Survivor Series, RAW and SmackDown! Live in the arena. Of the four events, only the Survivor Series pay-per-view itself sold out and had a high demand for tickets. With that being said, WWE did four nights of shows in the same venue because it’s much easier production-wise. It also makes the actual live gate revenue not as important.
WWE tweeted the following on Tuesday, revealing that Randy Orton set a new record number of Survivor Series eliminations. Orton added his 15th elimination at this year’s pay-per-view event:
In Traditional #SurvivorSeries Elimination Matches, @RandyOrton has now recorded 15 total eliminations, more than anyone in @WWE history. His “victims” include: RVD, HBK (twice), Edge, HHH, Kofi, Batista, Ziggler, Mark Henry, Christian, Swagger, Hunico, Del Rio, Y2J & @FinnBalor.
