Wrestling veteran Raven may have dedicated much of his life to entertaining fans, but the former WWE Superstar has no interest in sitting down and watching a wrestling show.

After brief stints as Scotty Flamingo and Johnny Polo in WCW and the WWF, Scott Levy would introduce ‘Raven’ to ECW in 1995, inspired by the Edgar Allan Poe poem.

In an interview with Wrestling Inc, Raven spoke about not being interested in watching wrestling anymore and said that 2001’s Invasion angle was the final straw. He said,

“It was a long time ago, back in the early 2000s when they did The Alliance angle and then they didn’t use anybody and they just buried everybody. And I lost interest and I stopped watching it and then I never picked it back up, you know what I mean?

“There are so many other things on TV that I wanted to watch and books I wanted to read. I just didn’t have time. And I’d already seen and done everything that can be done in wrestling, pretty much.”

Calling himself a “completist” who would not be satisfied with watching just one wrestling show, Raven said he’s “got too many other interests” to watch wrestling today.

Raven’s most recent match saw him on the winning side of a six-man tag-team match at AIW WrestleRager 4 in August 2019.
