Raven Gives His Opinion On WCW Not Viewing Him As A Top Talent

Scott Levy had a long and storied career in pro wrestling.

As Raven, he appeared in all the major federations and held titles from coast to coast. His storylines in ROH and ECW are among some of the most ground-breaking in history. Yet despite the fact that he seemed to have all the tools, he could never break through the glass ceiling. Nowhere was this more true than in WCW.

Raven was never positioned as a top name during his time with Ted Turner’s outfit, and he gave his opinion on that very topic in a recent podcast appearance.

Speaking as a guest on Eric Bischoff’s episode of 83 Weeks, the recently-inducted Impact Hall of Famer shared his thoughts. Quoth the Raven: “I would venture to say that I was a top guy in ECW and made more than just noise. I have to differ with Eric completely … He’s entitled to his opinion. You know, at this point in my life it doesn’t bother me one iota. It bothered me, it bothered the hell out of me at the time, you know, it’s why I left.”

Raven held the US Championship and tasted Tag Team gold during his run with WCW from 1997 to 1999.
