It was said on yesterday’s episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that the Superstar shakeup was WWE’s version of the draft this year. Dave Meltzer said Vince McMahon dropped the word “draft” because he simply no longer wanted to use that word.
McMahon has been infamous of growing sour on specific wrestling words or phrases, such as “title” or “shot” and even went as far as taking the yearly numbers out of WrestleMania, as it made the show sound too “old”.
As of right now, there is no word of WWE doing another “roster shakeup” after Summerslam.
