As we reported yesterday here on eWn, WWE released ten different wrestlers. As usual, they all have 90-day non-compete clauses, which means they wouldn’t be able to work for any other promotion until July 14.
According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, several of the talents who were released have asked that their non-compete clause be waived. This would be similar to what happened with Andrade’s release last month. It’s standard for WWE releases that talent aren’t allowed to work anywhere else for 90 days.
There is also some speculation that WWE will be making more cuts today and they will be on the NXT brand. As of this writing, we haven’t heard of any releases being made.
