Former WWE commentator Renee Paquette has said that AEW has had a better year than the company she once worked for.

Paquette, known as Renee Young in WWE, left the company following SummerSlam 2020 and has yet to sign with any other promotion.

Speaking with Sportskeeda, Paquette was asked which she feels is the superior promotion, and praised AEW for its growing roster and consistent shows:

“I feel like they are more of that homegrown talent within AEW. And it is really cool to see them all thriving. With a new company, of course, there are things, there are going to be some hiccups, there are going to be some roadblocks along the way. Not saying that everything is perfect, but I think in terms of opportunity and in terms of people having and a show just being professional wrestling, it’s AEW.”

In July 2021, Paquette gave birth to her and Jon Moxley’s first child, Nora, and despite being a mom and running her “Oral Sessions” podcast, Renee hasn’t ruled out a return to the wrestling industry:

“I’ve been really busy, but that doesn’t mean that I’m not open to the opportunity of working with another wrestling company. It just depends on what the situation was, who it was; you know, I love wrestling. It’s one of those things that I always want to be around in; I miss it. I really do miss it.”

In addition to the “Oral Sessions” podcast, Paquette also hosts ‘Throwing Down with Renee & Miesha,’ which she co-hosts with UFC star Miesha Tate.
