According to sources, Abyss and Sonjay Dutt are both done with iMPACT! Wrestling. iMPACT! Wrestling management recently sent out an email to their entire roster, informing their current talent of both of their exits and wishing them well. The belief among numerous people is that they are headed to WWE and will be working there soon. Also, the word is that both of their exits were amicable and that iMPACT! Wrestling didn’t want to hold them back from the other opportunities they received.
For what it’s worth, Abyss was one of iMPACT! Wrestling’s longest-tenured performers, as he’s worked with the company since 2002. He was also inducted into the “TNA Hall of Fame” just last year. Abyss has been working as a producer/agent backstage for the company.
According to Pwinsider, Tommy Dreamer and Konnan will replace Abyss (producer) and Dutt (creative) for iMPACT! Wrestling.
