CM Punk’s recent Instagram post has had everybody talking, but don’t expect to hear much about it from those in AEW.
Last week, Punk refuted a report stating that he refused to lose to Jon Moxley during their 2022 feud and instead claimed that Moxley had refused to lose to him.
On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that AEW wants the wrestlers to keep quiet about the matter. He said,
“They don’t want people saying things about this, there are also some people who are pretty hot about this too.”
Punk has been suspended since last September’s AEW All Out pay-per-view event following his comments at the media scrum and his participation in the backstage fight.
It has been reported that the top stars in AEW are against the idea of Punk being brought back when he is fully healed from his torn triceps injury.
