According to a new report from The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, All Elite Wrestling recently turned down an attempt to buy iMPACT! Wrestling. According to the site, there were “forces” attempting to sell the company to All Elite Wrestling that is said to have been in the works with Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks as of a few months ago. However, the proposal was passed on by Rhodes and The Bucks.

As many of you know by now, iMPACT! Wrestling is currently owned by Anthem Media and is moving from the POP TV network to the Pursuit Channel after January’s iMPACT!: Homecoming pay-per-view event. Anthem Media owns a stake in Pursuit. Meanwhile, All Elite Wrestling has been filing for trademarks as of late and is said to be backed by Tony Khan, the son of Jacksonville Jaguars (NFL) owner Shahid Khan.

Anthem Media reportedly has reason to keep iMPACT! Wrestling afloat right now as iMPACT! and UFC are the most popular programs on the Fight Network, with the UFC leaving at the end of the year.
