While Bad Bunny will be facing off against Damian Priest in a Street Fight at Saturday night’s WWE Backlash 2023 pay-per-view event, that wasn’t the original plan.
According to a report from Fightful Select, the original plan was to have Bad Bunny and Rey Mysterio team up to face off against Damian Priest and Dominik Mysterio in tag team action.
Additionally, it was noted that the original finish of the match would have seen Bunny pin Dominik to make the Puerto Rican crowd happy. WWE is reportedly confidenent in Bunny’s ability to compete in a singles match, hence why the Mysterios were pulled from the bout.
