As we previously reported here on eWn, Bandido has been offered a contract with All Elite Wrestling following his ROH Championship match with Chris Jericho on Wednesday night’s episode of AEW Dynamite.
According to a report from Fightful, the match taking place was a ‘very last minute’ booking decision. The bout was only announced two days before it took place. The reason for this is due to Hurricane Ian, which also affected Bandido’s gear.
According to sources, Bandido wound up traveling from one area while his gear was shipped to another. The gear did not arrive in Philadelphia, PA in time for the show. While he attempted to make some phone calls to try and borrow some gear he had recently auctioned off, that didn’t work out. Instead, he went around the city to find some replacements. He was also forced to borrow some items for the outfit. The tape he used was reportedly similar to masking tape.
For what it’s worth, Bandido brought his mask with him, so there weren’t any issues on that end. Multiple sources in AEW were very impressed with his attitude and work, especially due to the fact that he was in a “tough position.”
