It appears there may be some issues between Bandido and Gamechanger Wrestling (GCW).
As we’ve been reporting here on eWn, GCW is holding its “Devil in a New Dress” event tonight at The Midway in San Francisco, CA. The company took to Twitter earlier this evening and announced that Bandido has no-showed the event and is not responding to any of their phone calls/texts.
GCW claims that Bandido never got on his scheduled flight to San Francisco, CA.
Due to this, EFFY will be replacing the former ROH World Champion and will be facing off against Nick Wayne.
The last time we saw Bandido in GCW was during WrestleMania 38 weekend at several of the WrestleCon and “The Collective” events. He also worked the ROH Supercard of Honor XV pay-per-view event.
For what it’s worth, we reported here on eWn back on March 26th that Bandido’s work visa would be expiring soon. Prior to Tony Khan purchasing Ring of Honor, the company didn’t renew any of the working visas for foreign talents. If Khan decides to sign some wrestlers to ROH contracts, the situation could change.
We’ll provide more updates here on eWrestlingNews.com as they become available. Stay tuned.
It appears as though @bandidowrestler did not get on his flight to San Francisco today for tonight's GCW event. We haven't heard from him and he hasn't replied to any of our messages.
We apologize and will do our best to come up with a suitable replacement.
