As we reported earlier today here on eWn, WWE has reached a huge deal with NBC’s Peacock streaming service as the WWE Network will now be airing exclusively over there. According to a report from Dave Meltzer, ESPN has made the decision to stop airing WWE content following today’s news of the deal with Peacock.

For those unaware, ESPN is owned by Disney and aired a lot of their content in 2020. While Disney & ESPN were in talks at one point to license WWE’s content from the network, it was never finalized and WWE wound up signing the Peacock deal instead. Obviously, Disney and ESPN aren’t happy as Disney recently launched their Disney+ streaming service, which is direct competition with the Peacock streaming service.

It should be noted that ESPN has not aired WWE content for a while now. Also, the WWE section on ESPN.com hasn’t been updated in a long time.
