According to a report from Fox News, Jimmy Uso and his wife, WWE women’s wrestler Superstar Naomi, are trying to get fired by WWE. Although it may sound hard to believe, the site reports that a “well connected source” said the following, “Uso and his wife want to get fired by the WWE, so this arrest just might be the shoe that drops.” Also, FOX’s source said that interest in the upcoming new All Elite Wrestling (AEW) promotion has drawn interest from a number of current Superstars who are currently under contract with WWE.
As previously reported, Jimmy Uso was arrested earlier this week in Detroit, MI. He was charged with disorderly conduct and obstruction. According to police in Detroit, they pulled over Uso and Naomi when Naomi was driving the wrong way on a one-way street. Jimmy Uso reportedly got out of the vehicle and removed his shirt and jacket and “squared up to the officers”, looking like he wanted to fight them. Obviously, the arrest and DUI, etc. were the real deal and are a serious issue and they’ve got to be in court to answer to the charges …. but it’s also only going to “help” them gain more backstage heat if they are looking for a way out of WWE as crazy as that sounds.
As of this writing, The Usos are set to compete for the WWE SmackDown! Live tag-team titles this weekend tonight’s Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event, as they will face Shane McMahon and The Miz for the belts.
