According to a report from the Wrestling Observer, Kenny Omega worked his match with Hangman Page at Saturday’s AEW Full Gear pay-per-view event with an injured shoulder.
Dave Meltzer spoke directly with Kenny Omega after the pay-per-view event and the now-former AEW World Champion revealed that he was having trouble lifting heavier weights in the lead up to the match. Omega noted that he could only lift the bar (45 pounds) several weeks ago.
As many of you know by now, Hangman Page defeated Kenny Omega at AEW Full Gear to capture the AEW World Championship.
