According to a report from ProWrestlingSheet.com, Mike and Maria Kanellis recently asked for their releases from WWE. According to the site, the real-life couple have been unhappy with how WWE has used them for a while now. The couple reportedly asked for their releases several weeks ago. It should also be noted that Kanellis is once again selling shirts on Pro Wrestling Tees.
Maria and Mike Kanellis both signed with WWE in June of 2017. Shortly after their signing, Mike Kanellis had a brief feud with Sami Zayn. While Maria took time away because she was pregnant with the couple’s first child, Mike Kanellis was also kept off TV soon after his debut for several months to battle an addiction to painkillers. He has since claimed that he is clean and sober.
