Miro was reportedly brought to this week’s AEW Dynamite TV tapings on very short notice.
As seen during this week’s episode of Dynamite, Miro wound up replacing Jon Moxley in the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament. In the main event of the show, Miro defeated Orange Cassidy and will now go on to face Bryan Danielson in the finals of the tournament at AEW Full Gear.
According to a report from Fightful, Tony Khan made the official decision to have Miro replace Moxley on Tuesday afternoon. It should be noted that Miro was not originally scheduled for this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite and was flown in by the company. He arrived shortly before the Dynamite TV tapings took place.
Due to Jon Moxley recently entering a rehab facility for alcohol issues, the creative plans for Miro were changed. As many of you know, Tony Khan often books months in advance but things such as the Moxley situation and unexpected injuries happen and plans need to be altered from time to time.
