According to the girlfriend of Nicole Bass, the former wrestler who worked for both WWE and ECW during the late 1990s, has passed away. Bass’ girlfriend Kristen Marrone posted on Bass’ Facebook page on Thursday night, revealing that Bass became “very sick” several days ago and was taken to a hospital. She says there was nothing they could do and she passed away at the age of fifty-two.
Bass worked as a very successful professional bodybuilder in the mid-1980s to the mid-1990s. She debuted for Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) in 1998 and teamed with Justin Credible, Chastity and Jason. Following her time in ECW, she went on to work for the then-WWF as Sable’s bodyguard, debuting at WrestleMania XV. Bass also feuded with Debra McMichael and teamed with Val Venus against Debra and Jeff Jarrett at the Over the Edge 1999 pay-per-view event.
Bass eventually quit WWE and filed a lawsuit, claiming that Steve “The Brooklyn Brawler” Lombardi sexually assaulted her. The case was dismissed in 2003.
