Report on Vince McMahon’s Feelings About the Women’s Tag Team Titles

A lot has been made of the current state of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. The historic titles have not been featured on pay-per-view since WrestleMania and there have only been a handful of title matches on television since the creation of the title at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view this past February.

Recently, even Bayley commented on feeling like this specific championship hasn’t been given a chance to shine.

According to a report from Sportskeeda, this is because Vince McMahon never had an actual plan for Women’s Tag Team Champions in WWE:

“Vince didn’t want women’s tag titles. He was under a lot of pressure so he brought them in early without thinking much about it. There was no plan. We still don’t know if there’s any plan.”

It has been said a lot in WWE produced content that Sasha Banks and Bayley essentially stood outside Vince’s office every day to try and make these titles a reality.

As for the IIconics, who lost the titles on Monday, the source speaking to Sportskeeda had this to say:

“Peyton and Billie did the best they could…nothing went right for them.”
