As we reported last month here on eWn, AEW Superstar Rey Fenix was pulled from the Casino Battle Royale at Double or Nothing after suffering an injury. According to a report from Bodyslam.net, Fenix is dealing with a groin injury. While there is no word on how serious the injury is, it was reported several weeks ago that he’ll likely be out of action for 6-8 weeks. If that is the case, it would mean he’ll be back in about a month from now.
Fenix was written out of AEW’s storylines during last night’s episode of Dynamite as The Young Bucks attacked him backstage. The announcers referenced the attack but no actual footage was shown on camera.
Fenix last worked an AEW match against Chuck Taylor on the April 26 episode of AEW Dark: Elevation.
