WWE’s Senior Ringside Physician, Dr. Chris Amann, has reportedly departed the company.
According to a report from Pwinsider, Amann has finished up with the company after starting back in 2008. He was one of the main people involved in the implementation of WWE’s sports-medicine program and its Wellness Policy.
While there are some rumors that he was terminated, that is not the case. Amann gave his notice a while back and is now officially retired.
Some of you may know Amann’s name as he was the doctor who was called out by CM Punk back in November of 2014.
During an appearance on Colt Cabana’s podcast (when they were good friends), Punk accused Amann of misdiagnosing an MSRA infection. This led to Amann suing Punk and Cabana for defamation. The jury in the case ruled in favor of CM Punk and Colt Cabana.
