The latest update on Rob Gronkowski’s status with WWE has surfaced after news broke during WWE Backstage on Tuesday night that he was close to signing.
Gronkowski has signed with WWE and is set to appear at WrestleMania 36 next month, according to The Wrap. He won’t wrestle at WrestleMania 36 but rather be there to set up his first program that will lead to a match at a future PPV event.
Gronkowski will make his official debut during the March 20 episode of SmackDown on FOX from New Orleans.
Pwinsider.com reports that the deal is similar to the deal that Ronda Rousey has.
