The WarGames match at Survivor Series 2022 featured a spot between Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens that went a little awry, resulting in some backstage heat between the two men. Despite the friction following the match, it’s reported that Reigns will continue to work with Owens.
Reigns was initially fearful that Owens had ruptured his eardrum following a hard strike. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that while the eardrum might not have been ruptured, it was still injured. With that being said, the situation is said to have blown over.
The report went on to say that Reigns handpicked both Owens and Sami Zayn for their current spots in their storylines. Originally, Zayn was not meant to be a long-term addition to the Bloodline storyline. He has continued to be used because of how over he has become in the role.
Reigns did not feel pressure to pick either Zayn or Owens. Even though Roman was upset over the spot during WarGames, he isn’t angry enough to want to change plans.
