As you know by now, WWE NXT Superstar Velveteen Dream was fired from WWE on Thursday. According to several sources, Dream had a lot of backstage heat and the allegations of sexual misconduct didn’t help him. The now-former WWE Superstar was accused of sexual misconduct involving grooming underage boys. He is also accused of sending a nude photo to an underage girl. Some audio, photos, and videos surfaced online last year and it sure looked and sounded like him.

There are multiple reports that there were “behavioral issues” as well with Dream. While he had friends that were very high up in NXT management, many talents backstage were not comfortable with him and didn’t want to go to management to report him due to his friendships with the top officials. One source told us he was the “ultimate ass kisser” and thought he couldn’t be touched.

With that being said, there were also issues involving Dream when he would wrestle in other places, including the EVOLVE promotion when he worked there in 2018 and 2019.

Dream’s release was likely the result of “behavioral issues” backstage rather than the sexual misconduct allegations against him.

We reported on Friday that WWE artist Rob Schamberger (Canvas 2 Canvas) said that Velveteen Dream was the “single most unprofessional person” he’s ever encountered in the pro wrestling business. He said,

“Without saying anything further: He was the single most unprofessional person I’ve encountered in this business. I hope this is the wake up call he needs to start doing the emotional work to become a better person. All told.”

As of this writing, WWE has not confirmed any of the recent NXT releases and it’s unlikely they will.
