According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is considering giving Cody Rhodes a similar return to what Triple H received back in 2002 after “The Game” suffered a torn quad.

As we’ve been reporting here on eWn, Rhodes underwent surgery last Thursday for a torn pectoral tendon. If you believe WWE’s official statement, “The American Nightmare” will be out of action for around nine months.

The talk at the current time is to give Cody a similar “huge deal” treatment when he returns. Of course, WWE treated Triple H’s return as a huge deal and he wound up winning the Royal Rumble, and then went on to defeat Chris Jericho to capture the Undisputed Championship at WrestleMania 18.

For what it’s worth, WWE filmed Rhodes’ before and after the surgery. They also filmed the surgery itself and it’s expected to be used in promotional packages at a later date.

Finally, the impression is that Rhodes will be back in less than nine months. Of course, that’s all going to depend on how his rehab goes.
