WWE was slated to hold its first live event in India since December 2017 on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, in Hyderabad, India at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, a 5,000-seat venue that opened in 2002.
The event was supposed to feature SmackDown brand talents. WWE had not announced the show officially.
WrestleVotes reported today that the show has been postponed: “I’m told the proposed WWE Live Event in India scheduled for 1/18 has been postponed for unspecified reasons.”
In January 2021, WWE produced a TV special for the Indian market – “The Superstar Spectacular.”
